Priester started the company that now includes a family of aircraft management, charter, maintenance and tax consulting services through Priester Aviation, Mayo Aviation, Hill Private Aviation, and Stubbs Aviation Advisors.
Each company provides its own unique, customer-focused services, while leveraging the resources and capabilities of the larger George J. Priester group. Our brand includes a stylized icon of the 1944 Beechcraft Staggerwing that George purchased as one of the company’s first aircraft.
Based in Chicagoland and offering coast-to-coast service and international reach, Priester Aviation has been in operation since 1945. It offers customers customized, full service Part 91 or 135 flight department solutions in aircraft management, charter and jet card solutions from its Midwest bases. Every Priester Aviation aircraft is maintained and operated as if it were part of an exclusive flight department, with experienced, safety-certified flight crew at the ready.
Founded in 1978 and based in Colorado, Mayo Aviation provides tailored national aircraft management services specializing in the Rocky Mountain West. Mayo Aviation enjoys a long-standing relationship with Flight for Life Colorado, the nation’s first fixed wing air ambulance service and one of the most accomplished critical care transport programs in the country, serving critical patients in the Rocky Mountain West for over four decades.
Hill Private Aviation began with Guy Hill Sr. coming home to Atlanta from World War II. A decorated Navy pilot, he flew people in rides over the city and created a hangar storage and maintenance business at Fulton County Airport in 1955. The company expanded, providing a variety of aviation needs, including full charter service in 1967. For more than 65 years, the family company, now led by Guy Hill Jr. perfected the Sensational Southern Service for which it would become famous. Hill Private Aviation now serves charter and managed aircraft customers throughout the Southeast.
Stubbs Aviation Advisors builds on the unmatched experience of Nel Stubbs, a preeminent authority in the areas of aviation tax planning and compliance. It offers existing and potential aircraft owners and flight departments expert advice on federal, state and local taxes and aviation operating structures. Its founder has been part of industry organizations and national committees promoting and serving private aviation for decades, earning the NBAA’s John P. “Jack” Doswell Award in 2023 for her career achievements.
